Dear nonprofit professional,
You are incredible! You are a completely unique occurrence. No one has ever had the same combination of experiences, genetics, and way of thinking. You are perfectly poised to do amazing things and I need you to be perfectly comfortable being you.
Inside of you there is a solution to a problem that only you can solve, a joke that only you can tell, a connection that only you can make, a person that only you can inspire.
The world needs you to be perfectly comfortable being you.
It’s easy to get caught up in chasing the social media Jones’, with Facebook friends on exotic vacations, Twitter followers changing the world, and perfectly framed seven second snaps. The grass is always greener. But the truth is everyone else is just as unsure, self-conscious, and frustrated as you are.
Just be comfortable in your own shoes, or even better, take off your shoes and feel the cool grass between your toes that fills your side of the fence. It’s you. It’s yours. And it’s glorious, just like you.
Now go out there, be you, and do your own thing.
