I’m working with a non-profit on installing a new voip phone system. The local vendor is donating his time to install the system, but the licensing is expensive.
I emailed the Public Relations contact on the company website.
A few weeks with no response, then my vendor calls me and says my email made it through to the VP of PR and they are giving us a %10 discount on our license fees. Sweet!
I didn’t send a grant proposal, I didn’t pen some eloquent prose. I simply asked if they had any discounts for non profits.
It took me five minutes to write that e-mail.
